No other bed has lasted more than 3 days. My doxies drag your bed around but it looks still fine after a month.

Another great bed! We have four pooches one of which chews up regular type beds in a day or so. These ballistic beds are the answer!!

One of my dogs is a chew-bed expert. He has not been able to do any damage to this bed in over 6 months. Nice size for dogs 15 pounds and under. Highly recommend.

i have a rescue dog that is about 14 lbs that insists on being with me all the time. like within 5 ft of me. so he drags his bed to where ever i am. no bed has survived more than 5 mo as he drags it with his teeth. this bed is absolutely WONDERFUL ! it is high quality w very sturdy but apparently comfortable. i hadnt finished unwrapping it and corky had already claimed his home. expensive but worth every cent. thank you.
  • Strong bed Review by Oliver (Posted on 6/20/2016)

Tough material, so far holding up with my rat terrier..

But could be softer so the dog will like sleeping in it? But could be still early until he gets used to it.

So far so good but he is trying his hardest to show up that warranty! Last one lasted 1 1/2 years which is certainly better than the usual 1-2 days!!

As I write this my little pup is resting in her new little K-9 bed. I've had it 4 weeks and that's already a world record for not being chewed up. I am very pleased.
  • Bed survives three Review by DebHat (Posted on 5/18/2016)
    Overall Quality
One 8 mo old Golden puppy and two older dachshunds (2 & 10 yo) have only managed a little wear on a corner. After a stern talking-to and some lemon juice on the spot, I think this one will last a long while. The little ones love to share one during the day and each to his own at night. Once the golden boy outgrows puppyhood, he will have one too.
  • Great Bed Review by Summer (Posted on 5/9/2016)

  • well made but not at all "chew proof" Review by B (Posted on 5/5/2016)
    Overall Quality
Durable material yes. Well made yes. Washable yes. If you have a dog that like to chew pick the bed up and keep it out of reach when you are not around to supervise. They can chew a hole in it within minutes.
Yes tried all the bitter sprays, etc, etc sorry it is not "chew proof"
  • highly recommend Review by katrina (Posted on 4/13/2016)

I have a French bulldog that has torn the stuffing out of every bed she has had for the last 3 years. I have purchased multiple bed and spent a lot of money. She has had the Mini Tuff Bed for about 3 weeks , she actually has not even tried to rip it up. I Should have bought this bed sooner would highly recommend this bed. It will save me a lot of money, Plus I can put it in the washer and a have a fresh bed when she is bathed.
  • I had high hopes.... Review by Melinda (Posted on 4/7/2016)
    Overall Quality
I was really excited about the idea of a chew proof bed with a promised guarantee. We have a miniature toy Australian Shepard who managed to determine the beds weakness and tore a hole in the base of the bed and found access to the stuffing in about 15 minutes! I had high hopes only to be disappointed.
  • Great customer service! Review by Sherry (Posted on 3/31/2016)
    Overall Quality
I purchased 2 of the mini tuff beds for my chihuahua & my yorkie. They have destroyed many beds. I wish the new beds didn't have the velcro opening on the bottom because my dogs figured out how to flip the beds over & pry open the velcro to get to the inner cushion. I sprayed the velcro opening with the bitter apple almost every day & they would still tear at the velcro whenever left alone. It took them longer to damage these beds than any other. I recommend placing the inner cushion in a pillow case upon arrival then placing back inside as the cushions are covered with that paper thin felt like material that dogs can tear open within seconds. K9 ballistics replaced the beds immediately and all I had to do was send a pic of the damaged beds. This company is awesome. I would buy from them again.
  • Tuff indeed! Review by dennis (Posted on 3/25/2016)
    Overall Quality
I have a 6# Maltese that has chewed up every bed that I've ever bought! I have bought probably 20 beds for my 4 dogs in the last 4 years. My dog has tried ,but finally gives up on chewing the mini tuff bed! I do put a little blanket in it to make more comfy. I think this will probably be the last beds that I have to buy. If you have a chewer this is a great bed!!!
  • Tuff enough for my Ruff? Review by Diana (Posted on 3/23/2016)
    Overall Quality
Not exactly. My pup chewed right through the Mini Tuff bed within an hour after receiving it. I immediately emailed customer service and within days, there was a new bed at my door step. The communication was impeccable. The website I should've received and email back about my claim in 7-10 days, I got an email not even 24 hours later. I would rate this 5 stars but since my pup was able to chew through it, I rate it 4. Everything else was excellent.
  • Her favorite spot Review by Elizabeth Ferrara (Posted on 3/23/2016)
    Overall Quality
    Dear k-9 Ballistics

I want to thank you for sending me a replacement bed and for your kind consideration. I tried unsuccessfully several times to leave a testimonial but truthfully my dog was destroying a typical dog bed per week for months and this has not been the case since the Mini Tuff Bed arrived!!! My mini doxie warmed up to it after about an hour and now its her favorite spot. I am so impressed with your customer support and your product. Thanks a million!!! Elizabeth Ferrara
  • 100th bed I have bought and no holes! Review by Isabel (Posted on 3/22/2016)
    Overall Quality
I have a dachshund and this bed is perfect for him! I have bought him several beds in the past from PetsMart and Marshalls and five seconds later there is a hole in it. He has attempted to tear a hole in this one but so far has not gotten into it after about two weeks! We love it.
  • Great Bed. Greater Customer Service. Review by Shane (Posted on 3/21/2016)

Sadly, our determined Jack Russell puppy, in a spiteful rage, was able to penetrate the defenses of this bed.

    Top notch customer service.
  • A bed to last Review by Kristel D. (Posted on 3/15/2016)
    Overall Quality
We got an 8 week old pocket beagle at Christmas time. By the time I bought this bed in March he had torn up four other beds. The 1st day I gave it to him he put it through the paces, he was digging on it, biting, and throwing it around...not one hole appeared. He tries to get to the velcro and can't. Completely worth the price all the other beds I bought put together cost much more then this, wish I had known about Tuff beds from the beginning!
  • Puppy proof Review by Vanessa (Posted on 3/9/2016)

We have a 4 month old pom/russell and he has tried to rip this bed apart. Thankfully he has not been able to. We have had the bed for about 2-3weeks and I think we found a bed that he cannot destroy!
  • Not Chew Proof Review by Gina (Posted on 3/3/2016)
    Overall Quality
Our dog is a 4lb maltese/yorkie mix. About a week after we had it, she chewed a hole in it. She's been slowly pulling out the stuffing ever since. I guess I will try to patch it or something when I get time. It's a nice bed, but it is definitely not chew proof. :(
  • Nope Review by A.D.M. (Posted on 3/1/2016)
    Overall Quality
Our Shih Tzu/Bichon mix took a couple of hours to figure out how to get to the stuffing. She seemed quite pleased with herself! Also, she showed no interest in snuggling down into the bed, which in my (human) opinion seemed much less inviting than the fuzzy fabric cover of her last bed.
  • Great! Review by Lori A (Posted on 2/23/2016)

It took my 4 month Shih Tzu puppy a couple of nights to figure out this is her new bed but now sleeps in it yeah. She loves to chew and still looks like new.
  • Bobbie Robinson Review by My puppies love their bed (Posted on 2/19/2016)
    Overall Quality
I was unhappy when they started to pee in it, but it washed beautifully. Even though
it was supposed to be air dried, I put just the outside in my dryer on a low setting for 12 minutes, and it came out
just as nice as when I first got it. The idea of using white vinegar was great. I also used a small amount of liquid soap, even
though the directions didn't say anything about it.
  • Tough indeed. Review by Marsha (Posted on 2/11/2016)
    Overall Quality
My Yorkie Maltese cross has not even tried to chew this bed! For some reason it is not fun to chew. In the case of my older Maltese she uses the bed bUT the ok inside is almost too puffy for her to lie on. Hoping it will flatten with time. I will order more of these however.
  • Finally a bed my dogs can't destroy! Review by Nicole (Posted on 2/2/2016)
    Overall Quality
I have a 1 year old miniature dachshund and an 8 month old beagle that are left in their exercise pens sometimes up to 14 hours when I have to work. They get bored naturally and have destroyed every bed I've ever put in their pens...except for this one! It's the perfect size for my 17lb dachshund (the beagle has the crate mat that's bigger) and he absolutely loves this bed. He's a digger and has yet to be able to make any marks or tears in this one. I've spent hundreds on replacing beds so while these beds may be on the expensive side they are 100% worth it!
  • Dachshunds Didn't Like It Review by Sharyn (Posted on 2/2/2016)
    Overall Quality
I ordered two of the Mini Tuff Beds since one of my dachshunds is a chewer. Unfortunately, neither dog liked the material used to cover the bed. While it is very strong, it is not soft and cuddly and the dogs would not use the bed. Unfortunately, I did not read the return policy and could not return the bed I opened and am only receiving 75% of the cost of the second bed. I have ordered beds from LL Bean and Orvis and have been able to return the beds and received 100% of the cost. I will not order beds from K-9 Ballistics in the future.
  • Great bed and so far so good Review by Reyna (Posted on 2/2/2016)
    Overall Quality
We've had the bed about 3 weeks and it has survived so that's longer than all his other beds!! After 4 beds had their stuffing pulled out I decided to try this one and he drags it around the house and fights with it but he hasn't chewed through it or found the opening to pull out the stuffing. On his other beds he would open the cover zipper to expose the cushion and then chew it into pieces. He hasn't gotten even close to doing that. It seemed that he didn't want to lay on it at first because it's not soft like his old beds but he warmed up to it and now loves sleeping on it!!
  • Love Review by Samantha (Posted on 1/30/2016)
    Overall Quality
I got the mini tuff beds because my dogs kept putting holes (my beagle likes to grind her teeth on the bed while she sleeps) and then pilling all the stuffing out. We have changed all kinds of things to get rid of the stuffing over ruling the house. I bought one of the original tuff beds for the "dog room" because they have destroyed everything. Even the baby bed mattress I bought them. They have done no damage to anything now. I will always be adding more to my household as I have the extra cash. They are well worth the price of having to replace any other beds repeatedly.
  • Dog proof Review by Lawrence (Posted on 1/28/2016)
    Overall Quality
Our dog bed is fabulous. We have an 9 pound Havanese who has managed to destroy every other bed we've gotten her. She has tried furiously to destroy this one to no avail. I've been tempted to take a video of her trying. She has attempted everything - from chewing to throwing it in the air - and lost every time.
  • Nice beds Review by Karen (Posted on 1/28/2016)
    Overall Quality
I bought a large bed for my dog who is Old English Bulldog and that one held up very nicely so I bought the small one for my little dog my bulldog has not been able to chew through either one. I am very pleased with these beds and I would order again
  • Great bed Review by Elizabeth (Posted on 1/20/2016)
    Overall Quality
The last bed we bought Penny, she chewed holes in it before the weekend was out. She took delight in spreading around the stuffing. No more of that. As much as she tries digging and chewing, no holes with stuffing hanging out or spread over the family room. If we ever need a second bed, this will be the one we buy.

Our 5 month old Chorkie is a bed digger and has gone thru several beds as he loves to prep his bed scratching for several minutes. New bed is holding up great! We did have an potty accident and followed washing instruction which it wash & dried like brand new! Nice to know that this bed will be around for a long time! Highly recommend this bed
  • Awesome beds. Review by Mary M (Posted on 1/5/2016)

Awesome beds. My little puppy chewed a couple of holes on the first day and they replaced it with no problems. I now watch my cute little puppy so he doesn't just chew. Hew lies in the bed to chew on toys and takes the bed and shakes it when he wants to play. Bed is holding up great.
  • 2 thumbs up...so far Review by Kerry (Posted on 12/29/2015)
    Overall Quality
My dog got this bed for Christmas. 4 days later, it is still holding up. He is a tiny shih-poo who chews on/destroys EVERYTHING! He has gnawed on the corners, but so far so good! He gets mad that this bed is heavier than his old old and can't be thrown around, but other than that he seems to like it!
  • 2nd purchase Review by Michelle (Posted on 12/24/2015)

Love this bed! My pug, Ash, is a chewer and shredder especially his bed. His first bed (not K-9) was destroyed in about a week, his first K-9 he worked on almost every day. That lasted over a year. I highly recommend this bed for it durability, and construction.

  • First Purchase, Mini TUFF Bed Review by Larry (Posted on 12/10/2015)
    Overall Quality
Purchased for miniature Dachshund. Was unable to determine size on Web site or get a response to my question due to "off line"?
Anyway product arrived. My mini wiener dog has plenty of room. It is built with durable material and thus far my little digger has been unable to put a hole in it. In fact I intend to purchase 2 more. One for my Standard Dachshund and 1 for my miniature Poodle. Great Product, maybe a touch costly but seems worth the price!
  • She likes it & can't chew through it! Review by Dawn (Posted on 12/10/2015)
    Overall Quality
Our puppy is a chewer and destroyed two other beds. I looked online and this one looked tough enough, but I worried if it was soft enough for a puppy. Well, it is and our pup doesn't even bother trying to chew through it anymore, clearly the bed has won! Great bed.
  • Too tough for comfort Review by Anita (Posted on 12/7/2015)
    Overall Quality
We recently adopted a small Dachshund-mix and he chewed up every bed in the house but hasn't touched this one. However, he is not fond of it either and rarely sleeps on it. We actually bought two of these. The other one is for another Dachshund-Chihuahua mix and she will not sleep or lay on it at all.
  • Superior bed! Review by Linda (Posted on 11/18/2015)

Our little dog cannot tear this bed up! She also loves to curl up on it to sleep. I was afraid she would think it was uncomfortable, but I was wrong!
She had no problem getting used to it. Thank you!
  • good so far! Review by Jessie (Posted on 11/16/2015)
    Overall Quality
My tiny chihuahua/terrier rips and guts everything she comes into contact with. We've had the bed a few weeks and it still looks great! The other night we heard a loud scratching noise and discovered her attacking her bed, scratching and chewing a bit. She gave up pretty soon and settled into a ball to sleep. Yay!
  • Great Warranty Review by Bob D (Posted on 9/18/2015)
    Overall Quality
Our 4 month old dachshund is a terror, she chews everything, the mini tuff bed held up great until one day she decided to chew on the corner and tore a small hole in it, K9 Ballistics replaced it right away, all they wanted was a picture of the damage. The new one is holding up great, they mentioned one suggestion from some users to spray the bed with bitter apple , maybe this helps , but the material that the bed is made of seems like the strongest around.
  • Another excellent product! Review by James (Posted on 9/17/2015)
    Overall Quality
We have a crate pad and a large bed for our 90 pound Malamute who loves to chew! They're both holding up well... excellent choices. We recently bought a regular bed for our Lhasa Apso and the Mal chewed it to pieces in less than an hour. So... back to K9 Ballistics for a Mini Tuff Bed for the Lhasa and everybody is happy. I highly recommend all K9 products.
  • Excellent Review by David L. (Posted on 8/31/2015)

Just as described. We bought this because our large Aussie like to tear up our mini dachshunds bed. We don't know if he can because he hasn't tried but it looks tough.
  • Will last forever Review by Robert (Posted on 8/31/2015)

This bed will definitely last forever. Have had it for three weeks now and dogs refuse to go in it. It seems to be a quality product . I chewed on it and it held up fine.
  • "Buddy"-proof Review by Christy M. (Posted on 8/31/2015)
    Overall Quality
We have a now 5 month old Maltese/Yorkie mix named Buddy. He has shredded two beds so far, but is totally stumped by the Mini Tuff Bed. He can't scratch through the cover and his efforts to bite his way in have been futile. I'm sure he won't stop trying, but so far, so good! Excellent find on our part!
  • Tough and strong Review by Romo (Posted on 8/19/2015)
    Overall Quality
My little five-month-old Chihuahua tore up four other beds before I purchased the K-9 BALLISTICS BEDS. I did expect them to be a little softer for their comfort, but I do understand, they have to be strong and to keep them from chewing them up. All in all I think that will last a very very long time
  • Excellent bed! Review by Martha Kay (Posted on 8/17/2015)

My mini black and cream dachshund chewed up three beds before she was three months old. I found the mini tuff bed and she can't harm it. She bit at it the first day and left it alone after that. I highly recommend this bed .
  • DON'T BUY/DON'T BUY/DON'T BUY Review by Richard (Posted on 8/11/2015)
    Overall Quality
Don't buy these beds. My puppies chewed through this bed in lest than an week. If you buy this thinking it will last a week, you're wrong. Go to Wall Mart, the one I bought there lasted over a month. Don't fool yourself in thinking it will last, it won't.
  • Tuff enough for our dog! Review by David A (Posted on 7/19/2015)
    Overall Quality
Our four month old puppy has completely destroyed two dog beds already. We bought him a Mini Tuff Bed from K9 Ballistics and we love it. He tries to chew it apart and hasn't made one mark. It's comfortable for him and nice looking and it's strong enough to prevent our aggressive little chewer from destroying it. We love it!!
  • A dog bed that lasts. Review by Wendy (Posted on 6/30/2015)

  • Living up to its name Review by Edward (Posted on 6/10/2015)
    Overall Quality
Definitely one of the best dog beds i've bought in a long time. My only complaint is the Velcro they use to keep bed sealed. Eventually if your dog gets it claws or nose in there you can say goodbye just like the rest of the beds. Hopefully she doesnt flip bed over first 90 days. Minor tweaks need to be made on design but overall i recommend these beds to any dog owner!

Our 9 week old lab loves his bed. He loves resting his head on the bolster. Even though the fabric is tough, the bed is cozy for him.
This bed is living up to its name and I plan on buying the next size up as he gets bigger.
  • Amazing Review by Ryan S (Posted on 3/2/2015)

My 3 month old male chihuahua destroyed a run of the mill dog bed in a matter of a few days. I searched online and found K9Ballistics.com and I am glad I did. I ordered the Mini Tuff Bed in black. It is very well made and looks very durable. My little man is unable to put any holes in it. I also love the fact that you can take the inner cushion out to wash the outer liner. Fantastic purchase!
  • The Monster and Her Bed Review by Pam B (Posted on 2/25/2015)

My Sheltie puppy, Lady of the Loch (better known as Nessie), has been pretty rough on beds. This one has been impervious to chewing, digging, and even vomit. I arose about 4 a.m. one morning to find the bed in the bathtub. My husband had awakened to some puppy unpleasantness and had managed to rinse off the cover successfully without having to soak and machine wash the cover! Yay!! Miss Nessie has met her match!!

I bought the mini bed for my mini fox terrier. She went in it and checked it out and decided she didn't like it. She likes a bed that the arms are completely enclosed. Maybe you would consider making a bed like that. I would like one for my puggle and she is the chewer, but she also likes it to have sides all around.

Loved this bed when it came. Pup, who is a seven month old Pompoo, never slept on it. Unfortunately, in five minutes she made a hole in the very front. So, I put the bed in the garage until she gets a bit older and hopefully doesn't find that hole again. We are disappointed that this so easily be accomplished by such a tiny pup.

    Overall Quality
I purchased the tan color and have been pleased that my Cavalier has tried (diligently I might add) to tear it up and it still looks as good as when it arrived! The reason I only gave it a 4 star is because I wish it had higher sides and was a little bigger. It seems that he is a little uncomfortable because he is usually laying partly on the back of the sides. He is a 6 month old - 12 lb puppy like the one pictured in the bed.
  • Mini Tuff Bed Review by Nitin Malhotra (Posted on 9/29/2014)

I recently bought a red mini tuff bed for my Shih Tzu who has already torn apart 3 beds. I loved the color and the quality seemed to look good. My dog took a while to make himself comfortable with the new bed but once he got adjusted in a week or so, he tore 2 holes in the edges of the bed already. It is not going to be long before he tears it apart fully.

I thought it would feel a little plusher to the touch, but that being said, my 8 month old puppy started sleeping in it without any problem. This is my 4th bed purchase in 8 months with all the others being ripped within a day & destroyed within a week. He started scratching & chewing at the bed immediately & a week later not a tear in sight! The cost was slightly higher than I paid for the others but the durability is worth it.

We have a two year old Shih tzu/Terrier Mix and since we adopted him in December he has totally destroyed two beds. So I researched beds on line and found K9 Ballistics. I was very surprised when I opened the package. The bed was very stiff and seems like it isn't very welcoming to our kids. We have 2 shihtzu puppies, they have 8 different bads now. They use all of them to sleep in except the k9 bed. They use it to play, they run and jump into and out again, over & over. I think they like the noise it makes. That is until it is time to relax, then they prefer their softer beds. I don't think they will ever tear it up, like they have the softer beds.

The quality of these beds is wonderful. I have a very large chewing puppy who keeps chewing up his "brother's" bed (and my comforters), so I went with a mini tuff bed (for the dog). The bed really held up to lots of playing, but the big brother finally did chew a hole in the bolster. I e-mailed a picture to K-9 ballistics and within a week I had a new replacement bed. So far so good - no holes!!

WE purchased two beds. We have one dog we call jaws, she is 12 lbs and can get through anything. She never touched the round bed so we ordered the mini bed for her. She ate a hole in it the first few min. I contacted the company and they sent a new bed with the advice to spray bitter apple on it. We got the new bed and sprayed it, she loves it and has not chewed it. Love this company.

At first my two pound chihuaha puppy wouldn't get in it. It's not soft. Now she runs and jumps in it and sits on the rim. Well, we have a 3 month old Pomapoo and she's got some sharp little teeth. I'm generally satisfied with the tough material that this bed is made of but she has within one day managed to nip apart the stitching on the front left corner outside edge. I'm watching to see if she manages to open it up more than the current 1/8". I might try stitching it myself if she gets the hole any bigger. The good thing is she has not gotten through the material and has been digging and chewing it.

I have only had this bed for about a week, but so far so good. My dog has torn through beds the same day I've brought them home. I've tried every kind up to this one, but to no avail. I'm very glad to have found something that not only says it is resistant, but that it actually is. The only downside is because of the material, which she doesn't mind at all, but it does sound like she's trying to dig in it when she's just moving around.

Unfortunately my little TUTSI mal/shih puppy was able to chew a small hole in the corner of one of the beds I ordered. I took a picture of it and e-mailed them. Within a couple of days I received two brand new beds. Will now keep a closer watch on my puppy till he grows out of the chewing stage. But my other dogs love the beds. They all want to get in them at the same time. I guess I'll have to invest in more of them. But the service was top of the line and very quick delivery.

My new puppy loves this bed. He is a bully breed, so a formidable chewer. This bed stops him cold. The only downside is that it is not very water (urine) resistent, which was surprising because my full-size Tuff Bed seems completely water proof. Fortunately it is very easy to clean.

Thought product was going to keep my Pug puppy from tearing into it since the material was so tough.

However, my 12month old pug was able to open the velcro backing easily and pull out the pillow and tear it to shreds.

Hopefully, you can use a better closer to keep a puppy from opening the bed from the bottom.

She isn't a very big puppy, only 16 pounds.

    Disappointed.

The bed has been great in terms of strength and standing up to the chewing and digging of our dogs. My only complaint is that the dimensions given are of the OUTSIDE area of the bed and don't take into consideration the wall of the bed. It would be better if inside dimensions were given as the bed ended up being a little smaller than we had planned on.

I must have a parana instead of a 10 lb chihuahua. My 9 month chihuahua had a hole in this bed and had completely destuffed it in one night. I was given the one guaranteed replacement that I will hang on to in hopes that he will eventually stop chewing. It is a nice bed, just not as chew proof as I was hoping.

We just bought our 2nd mini tough bed. We still have the 1st one in perfect condition and we have had it for about 15 months. We got it after our mini dachshunds chewed the 1st 3 beds we bought. We only bought the 2nd one now because both dogs no longer fit in the same bed. We love them. Highly recommend.

We purchased the mini tuff bed..we have had it about 3 weeks now and I can't believe it everytime we come home I expect to find it all torn up but it is always all in one piece, there is not one mark or scratch on it..it is amazing, I would highly recommmend this bed to anyone that has a dog that tears up their bed, I went though 6 beds before I got this one and they only lasted a day or so...but this one still looks as good as it did the day we got it....Thanks ballistics bed!!!!

Bella my 7 month old bichon loved her cheap dog bed...she tore at loose threads and eventually got all the stuffing out of it. Day 10 with this bed...she checked it all out and has not been able to chew through or find a threat to destroy.I wish I had got a little bigger one but if she stays this size...it will work.

  • Wonderful bed and great warranty! Review by Mary (Posted on 3/22/2014)
    Overall Quality
The quality of these beds is wonderful. I have a very large chewing puppy who keeps chewing up his "brother's" bed (and my comforters), so I went with a mini tuff bed (for the dog). The bed really held up to lots of playing, but the big brother finally did chew a hole in the bolster. I e-mailed a picture to K-9 ballistics and within a week I had a new replacement bed. So far so good - no holes!!

At first my two pound chihuaha puppy wouldn't get in it. It's not soft. Now she runs and jumps in it and sits on the rim. She still has to have her soft bed to sleep, but we use this one outside her playpen. I love the red and black!! It matches her because she is black and white. High quality. She loves to chew on it! She doesn't make a dent!

I bought the bed for my medium size Dachshund. It has to be chew proof because her sister a terrier chews up dog beds. So far so good I have had it over a week. My dog is 15 so the opening is great for her she can walk right into her bed easily.

I just purchased our second mini tuff bed. Nothing was wrong with our original other than it was really really old and we thought our pup deserved a new bed. We just love this bed for our dog! Before we bought this bed, we went through tons of dog beds and that our dog would have destroyed by the end of the week. This one is the only one that actually last! Love it!!

I want to say that this has been the best money ever spent!! The bed has been in the clutches of our very destructive mini Dach for a few days now, and I was very happy to return home the first day and see the look of absolute disgust on the pup's face......... He has shredded everything else to date. And his best efforts have barely creased the cover of this fantastic product. Thank you very much for providing such a high quality product for such a reasonable price.

I put off ordering these beds for a long time. When I finally did I ordered two. Unfortunately, Zoey was able to chew a small hole in hers. Then, she migrated to Penny's bed and chewed open a corner! I took pictures and wrote an email. They got back to me right away; replacement beds would be sent out. Within the week I had two brand new beds. I will continue to use the damaged beds until she outgrows the chewing stage. I truly appreciate the excellent customer service and would order again.

When we first rescued our Beagle, Lucy, she would resort to chewing out of nervousness.

My puppy is boston terrier/beagle, but I think she is part goat and part Jaws too. She shredded normal beds within about an hour. Unfortunately, she did get through the bolster, but customer service had a new one to me in 3 days with no questions asked. She got through that one too, but NOT because these beds are not durable. She could only get a small hole, enough to get the batting out. Great products, and top-notch customer service.

Well we received your wonderful dog bed. It was for our little young (1 year now) Min Pin that had eater 3 beds and figured this wouldn't work either. We know there is a 90 day warranty for if he ate this bed also. Somehow he just wasn't interested in shredding his new bed. And he shows you how much he likes it now. TUFF COVER™ TECHNOLOGY

ripstop tuff cover for dog beds

RipStop Ballistic Material™

The chew-proof ballistic material with rip-stop tech avoids tears, and prevents growth if they start. It is just one more detail that makes these beds tough as nails (and tougher than teeth!)

double stitched seam dog bed

Reinforced Seams

We're proud to say our interior seams are double stitched and surged. This prevents snags, fraying, and damage from chewing.

Additionally we include a layer of material at the bed's corners. Corners are the first things to go when a dog decides to start chewing. By reinforcing this weak point, we greatly increase the life of the bed.

double stitched seam dog bed

Reduced Seam Construction

Right after corners, seams are the weak spots which dogs exploit most frequently in beds. By reducing the number of seams on a bed fewer temptations present themselves, and therefore reduce the risk of demolition!

water resistant dog bed

Repels Dirt, Hair, and Moisture

Tightly woven synthetic fibers make this bed chew proof, and also resistant to a wide array of other damaging forces. Water, dirt, hair, and muck simply don't cling to the bed and can be easily wiped away; after wiping with a damp cloth the bed often looks as good as new!

machine washable dog beds

Machine Washable

Accidents happen, it's a fact of life; Murphey's law if you will. Having a machine washable dog bed helps clean up those accidents quickly and easily. For those messes that do not wipe away, let the machine washer do the work.

We recommend washing with cold water on a gentle cycle, and then air drying. The heat and friction of a machine dryer could shorten the lifespan of the bed, and we want our products to last as long as possible!

odor resistant dog bed

Synthetic Fibers Resist Odors

The extremely dense synthetic fiber weave of our Ballistic Material not only stops moisture, but also odors! Dirt, grime, and even mold spores have a tough time sticking to the bed cover, and when these elements can't stick around neither can the smell.

odor resistant dog bed

Hypoallergenic Material

Dust mites cause a large number of allergic reactions for dogs. Mold and mildew spores can also trigger allergic reactions. The sythetic fibers used in this cover prohibit dust mite invasions, and make life difficult for mold spores as well. These allergens require organic fibers to build their homes, and this cover uses a 100% synthetic fiber construction. Dust mites beware!

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Ballistic Fabric?

Ballistic Fabric is a thick, tough, synthetic material used for a variety of applications. Ballistic fabric was originally developed by the DuPont corporation as a material for flak jackets to be worn by World War II airmen. The term ballistic fabric takes its name from the fact that it was intended to protect its wearers from flying debris and fragmentation caused by bullet or artillery shell impacts.

What is "Hydro-fuge" Technology?

Our Polyester filled mattresses come with our ventilated Hydro-Fuge mattresses inside for good air permeability and heat dissipation. Hydo-fuge technology means that they have good water permeability (water passes right through them). They are also channeled to prevent clumping, and filled with our eco-friendly recycled fiber.

What happened to the zippers?

In our efforts to make our beds the most chew-proof beds possible, we've removed the zippers and replaced them with concealed, industrial strength, Velcro closures on the undersides of the beds. Past versions of our beds had zippers, but thanks to some great feedback from our fine customers, we were able to spot this issue and make the change. Zippers were a weak point that appealed to chewing dogs, it was the first part on the beds that these dogs would go after and that was dangerous. What resulted was a design change that is not only more durable, but a safer product for your dog that reduces the temptation to chew in this area and potentially damage the bed.

What makes your ballistic fabric superior to other bed materials?

Canvas and fabric beds are not chew proof by any means. You have to remember, dogs have been known to chew through materials that you'd never even imagine a dog could chew through. Our military-grade ballistic material is used specifically for it's durability and toughness, which makes for a longer-lasting, chew proof product that outlasts other beds made from inferior materials. Most companies take an off the shelf fabric, one made for furniture or luggage, and use it on a dog bed. We've designed our own fabric built around the function of a dog bed. We've recently upgraded our ballistic material to be Ripstop, which means its now even better at withstanding moderate chewing and scratching. Our fabric is waterproof, so it can withstand rain, outdoor conditions with its UV protection, and pets which may be incontinent. There is nothing on the market that is built better. This is the best option for an all around durable bed. We have paid extreme attention to all the details.

Are your beds really "chew proof"?

To be fair, there's really nothing short of hard metal that is absolutely "chew proof" - dogs have been known to chew through kevlar, wood, bricks, chain link fences and light metals just to name a few! If a dog has the ability and wants to bad enough, they can chew through most materials. However, we advertise our beds as "chew proof", and we stand behind our beds as the most chew proof products available. Ultimately, what makes our beds "chew proof" is not only the materials that we use, but also our 90 Day Chew Proof Warranty!

My dog is a heavy chewer, which bed do you recommend?

The Cujo Cot should be the go to bed for all medium or heavy chewers. With our "No Chew" design, hidden fabric edges, and durable corner covers, and aluminum frame, there is nowhere for dogs to get ahold of the fabric on the bed. Once your dog is conditioned not to chew a TUFF bed or TUFF Bed Crate Pad can be added for extra comfort.

What if my dog does manage to chew up this bed?

We have a 90 Day Chew Proof Guarantee on all Original, Round, Orthopedic, Mini TUFF Beds and TUFF Pads. If your dog does manage to chew through one of the TUFF Beds within the guarantee period, we'll replace the cover, free of charge. If your dog manages through our TUFF Pads or Mini TUFF Beds, we'll send out a free replacement. We're that confident!

Aren't all dog beds the same? What makes yours so different?

Our beds are actually built to inhibit the dog's ability to chew them. For starters, the covers of our beds are made out of military grade 1680 denier ballistic nylon, the same material worn as body armor by US combat forces! Unlike other beds, our ballistic nylon is far more chew resistant than cloth or other cheap fabrics that can be ripped apart at the seams. We take extra pains to engineer our beds with concealed Velcro closures on the bottom of the beds to minimize the dog's temptation and ability to chew in this area. Rounded corners and solid, well-sewn seams also greatly reduce the possibility of the dog grabbing hold of a weak seam.

What about cleaning the bed?

Our beds are super-easy to clean! First separate the cover and the fill and place in the washing machine separately. Close the Velcro on the cover completely before washing. Make sure to wash on delicate and cold. Air dry or line dry are the best way to dry the bed. Heat drying is not recommended. Please note vomit and urine have corrosive properties which can penetrate through the water resistant cover damaging the inner fill. Clean all urine and vomit immediately with a dry towel. Remove the inner fill and wash the bed cover using the instructions mentioned above. Customers in the past have told us that a deodorizer (ex. Febreeze) can take away the urine or vomit smell.

Is there any kind of assembly required for the TUFF beds?

Our TUFF beds require minimal assembly. Simply place the cover over the fill and close the Velcro. If you are having trouble placing the cover over the fill, try placing the cover on the floor (Velcro side up). Fold the fill and insert one side into one part of the Velcro. With one side in, unfold the fill while inserting the remaining portion into the second half of the cover. Close the Velcro and you're done!

Guarantee

Our Guarantee for the Mini TUFF Bed

This is a one-time warranty per order. If your dog chews through the Mini Tuff Bed or Tuff Bed Crate Pad, it is covered under our warranty. We will honor and replace the Mini Tuff Bed or Tuff Bed Crate Pad free of charge. This warranty is good for up to 90 days from the day that K9 Ballistics shipped out your purchase.

If you notice any damage of our product resulting from chewing or scratching, we recommend immediately removing the bed from your dog's access. Some dogs like to eat their bedding, so for your animals' health we recommend waiting to reintroduce the bed when the replacement bed arrives and/or when the dog grows out of the chewing phase.

How to Process a warranty Claim

What we need to process a warranty is:
1. An email sent by the person who placed the order (usually you) with your name and address.
2. A photo of the damage (you can also include a photo of the culprit if you like). You do not need to send us your bed or cover.

Send email with pictures to [email protected]. It usually takes us five to seven business days to get back to you.

If you do not wish to enact your warranty, we can refund you 50% of the cost of the item provided that a picture of the damage is sent to us.
