When it comes to versatility and durability, our Chew Proof Armored beds are the best of the best. These beds feature an all-aluminum frame (and corners) that cover and shield every edge of fabric and leave heavy chewers with no place to latch on. This frame also serves to pull the center fabric taut, eliminating any wrinkles or folds that a more persistent chewer might try to pinch between their teeth. Combined with durable fabric to resist scratching and clawing, these beds will hold up to just about anything and everything your dog throws at them. Great for indoor, outdoor, and crate use.

All beds feature the same frame and dimensions. Their differences lie in the type of material used for the bed sling.

Chew Proof Armored Ripstop Elevated Bed

Our OG armored bed, which paved the way for the rest. This bed features an unpadded sling made from our signature ripstop ballistic fabric, and provides orthopedic-style support by cradling your dog like a hammock and conforming to the shape of their body. The ripstop ballistic material is durable against digging and scratching, and since it lies completely flat inside the frame it’s impossible for a dog to get between their teeth. This is a great option for general outdoor/indoor use, and also works inside crates for dogs that are prone to eating bed stuffing. This bed must be used with the legs in order to provide comfort. 

Chew Proof Armored Padded Dog Crate Bed

This armored bed features a padded sling made from ripstop ballistic fabric and filled to a 1.5” thickness with 100% polyester fiberfill. It provides the same amount of comfort as a Tough Ripstop Crate Pad, but is significantly more durable due to its protective frame. It can be used with or without legs, and is the most popular choice of crate bed for heavy chewers. Since it’s padded, it isn’t suitable as a cooling bed and isn’t as suitable in rainy or wet environments as the non-padded options.

Chew Proof Armored Mesh Elevated Bed

Designed to maximize the cooling potential of elevated beds, this armored bed utilizes a sling made from heavy duty mesh. It has a tight, open weave that allows air and water to pass through, making this ideal for use outdoors, especially in wetter environments. The elevated nature of the bed keeps fresh air circulating close to your dog’s body to wick away heat, while the mesh conforms to your dog’s body for support. Since the mesh has a more open weave and no ripstop qualities, this bed is not recommended for dogs prone to digging or scratching. 

Chew Proof Armored Vinyl Elevated Bed

No bed is 100% chew proof, but our vinyl armored bed is the closest thing to indestructible that you’ll find on the market. The double-coated vinyl sling is exceptionally resistant to both penetrating (chewing) and abrasive (digging) damage, and it’s also the only material we’ve got that’s fully waterproof. This bed is super easy to clean and holds up to hard wear like a dream, making it the go-to bed for vets, boarding facilities, and any families with high-energy, destructive breeds or pups with separation anxiety.
