Tough Ripstop Crate Pad

The Tough Ripstop Crate Pad is our most basic model but still a very popular option, featuring a ripstop ballistic shell, a nonskid bottom, and anchor points at each corner so that it can be fixed in place to the bottom wires of the crate with zip ties. It works well for dogs that dig and scratch and can hold up against occasional, mild chewing, but it isn’t made for persistent, destructive chewers and its relative thinness means it isn’t as supportive for larger or heavier pups. 

Tough Ripstop Orthopedic Crate Bed

An upgraded version of the Tough Ripstop Crate Pad, this orthopedic bed is sized like a crate pad but offers much more support. Thickness ranges from 2” for small sizes up to 4” for the biggest ones, making it almost as comfy as a full-time bed. It has a ripstop ballistic cover that is removable for easy washing, a nonskid bottom, and anchor point tie downs to keep it in place. It works for dogs that like to dig and scratch up their beds and it can hold up against mild chewing, but it’s still not the best fit for a determined chewer. 

Chew Proof Armored Padded Dog Crate Bed

This is the chew proof version of our Tough Ripstop Dog Crate Pad, offering the same padded center for comfort but with the addition of an all-metal frame for extra durability. The aluminum edges and corners guard the most vulnerable parts of the bed, while also pulling the padded center tight so that there is no loose fabric for a destructive chewer to get between their teeth. This type of bed is strongly recommended for any dog that tends to chew constantly or heavily while crated. It’s designed to sit at the bottom of the crate, but it does come with legs so that you can elevate it for extra comfort if you’d like. 

Chew Proof Armored Elevated Beds

Our Chew Proof Armored Elevated Dog Beds come in three fabric types—traditional ballistic ripstop, mesh, and double-coated vinyl. These beds don’t have any padding, so they must be used with legs in order to provide adequate support. This does cut down on headroom in a crate, but an un-padded bed is the safest option for any chewer that likes to eat stuffing. Ripstop ballistic elevated beds offer good durability against both scratching and chewing behaviors, while mesh beds are good for dogs that run hot or tend to chew, but never really scratch or dig at their beds. For super chewers or heavy diggers, or extremely destructive pups like those that struggle with separation anxiety, the Chew Proof Armored Vinyl Elevated Dog Bed is going to be your best bet.
