This bed is not chew proof at all. The Designer Easy Clean™ cover is meant to be plush and soft, and does not contain any ripstop ballistic fabric. While the material is durable against regular use and wear and tear, it will not stand up to purposefully destructive behaviors like chewing and digging.

This bed arrives in two parts:

• Gray and yellow orthopedic mattress, rolled. The bolsters are built into the liner and rolled with the rest of the mattress.
• Designer Easy Clean™ bolster bed cover, folded. Typically found at the bottom of the box.

To assemble, simply unroll the mattress and give it some time to expand. It should be expanded enough for use within a few hours, but can take a couple days to expand to its maximum thickness. You can cover it at any time for use, since the outer cover breathes easily.

The cover is made from 100% polyester, including the faux fur and microfiber fabric. The mattress and bolster edge are both made from solid CertiPUR-US polyurethane foam and are covered by a gray polyester liner. The foam contains no glue or adhesives.

Since this bed is a clearance item being sold at a steep discount and it is not designed to be chew resistant, it does not come with any warranties. This includes the 120-Day Chew Proof Warranty and 10-Year No-Flatten Warranty. If your bed arrives damaged from transit or with a defect in workmanship, please contact Customer Care immediately for assistance.

Simply wipe the bed down with a damp cloth or scrub away any stubborn spots with soap and warm water. For a more thorough cleaning, remove the outer cover and machine wash in cold water on a delicate cycle. Machine dry with low heat until fully dry before replacing it on the bed. Do not wash the foam or bolsters.

Our bolster beds are not sized to fit crates and are not intended for crate use, and the orthopedic mattress is too firm to easily fit into smaller spaces. If this bed is forced through a crate door, it will most likely take up most of the space inside the crate and be very hard to remove later. Absolutely! This bed can be personalized with embroidery. To add it, just select the option to add personalization, select the thread color and font, and make sure to type in what you want to have embroidered.

For best results, check out our size guide. Bolster beds are sized just like our regular rectangle beds, but the addition of the bolster pillow takes up some of the available sleeping area of the bed. Make sure to compare your dog's length to the bed's sleeping dimensions to ensure your pup will have enough room. When in doubt, it's safer to go up a size.
