This is not a chew proof bed. The ripstop ballistic fabric is durable and will hold up to wear and tear as well as digging, scratching, and light chewing, but it can be damaged by aggressive or persistent chewing habits. The bolstered edge also offers extra seams and corners for a chewer to target. If you have a dog that routinely tears up their bedding, please consider one of our Chew Proof Armored™ beds instead.

This bed arrives in two parts:

• Gray and yellow orthopedic mattress, rolled. The bolsters are built into the liner and rolled with the rest of the mattress.
• Tough Ripstop™ ballistic bolster bed cover, folded. Typically found at the bottom of the box.

To assemble, simply unroll the mattress and give it some time to expand. It should be expanded enough for use within a few hours, but can take a couple days to expand to its maximum thickness. Unzip the cover and place over the mattress to complete assembly.

The bed cover is made from 1200D ripstop ballistic polyester fabric, including the black bottom. There is a textured rubber coating on the bottom of the bed cover to prevent it from sliding. The inner mattress and bolster are covered by a 600D rip-stop ballistic liner made from polyester. The mattress and bolster edge are both made from solid CertiPUR-US polyurethane foam. The foam contains no glue or adhesives.

Since this bed is a clearance item being sold at a steep discount, it does not come with any warranties. This includes the 120-Day Chew Proof Warranty and the 10 Year Won't Flatten Warranty. If your bed arrives damaged from transit or with a defect in workmanship, please contact Customer Care immediately for assistance.

Simply wipe the bed down with a damp cloth or scrub away any stubborn spots with soap and warm water. For a more thorough cleaning, remove the outer cover and machine wash in cold water on a delicate cycle. Make sure to zip up the cover and keep it right side out before adding it to the machine. Air dry if possible, or machine dry on low heat.

Our bolster beds are not sized to fit crates and are not intended for crate use, and the orthopedic mattress is too firm to easily fit into smaller spaces. If this bed is forced through a crate door, it will most likely take up most of the space inside the crate and be very hard to remove later. Yes, you can! This bed can be personalized with embroidery as long as you choose obsidian black as the bed color. Velvet color options cannot be personalized due to the velvet coating.

To add it, just select the option to add personalization, select the thread color and font, and make sure to type in what you want to have embroidered. Embroidery is case-sensitive and will appear exactly as typed.

For best results, check out our size guide. Bolster beds are sized just like our regular rectangle beds, but the addition of the bolster pillow takes up some of the available sleeping area of the bed. Make sure to compare your dog's length to the bed's sleeping dimensions to ensure your pup will have enough room. When in doubt, it's safer to go up a size.
