This lightweight, inflatable ball bounces and rolls with ease over outdoor terrain, giving your dog the perfect target to push and herd to their heart's content. It's an excellent source of exercise for high energy breeds that won't be satisfied by simple walks around the neighborhood.

To protect it from punctures and tears, the ball features a cover made from the same ripstop ballistic fabric used on our Tough beds. The double zipper closure with sealed exterior zipper and detachable pull ensures that the cover won't open during playtime. If needed, the cover can be removed and machine washed, or you can simply hose it down outside to wash off any dirt, grass, or drool left behind.

A portable air pump is included. The ball may shrink in cold temperatures, so for best results, inflate while it is cold out and store the ball in a warm room when inflated to minimize shrinkage. This ball can take a long time to inflate by hand; if you wish to speed up the process, you can hook it up to a floor pump, electric pump, or air compressor (not included).

This is not a chew proof item and should not be left unattended with destructive chewers.

A portable air pump is included. The ball can take a long time to inflate by hand; if you wish to speed up the process, you can hook it up to a floor pump, electric pump, or air compressor (not included).

Pro Tip: The internal ball will stretch as it fills with air. Even if it seems like the ball is full, continue pumping until the ball completely fills the cover. The ball will not pop.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, this is not a chew proof item and is not meant to be used as a chew toy; it is intended to be pushed, chased, and rolled around by your pup. The ripstop ballistic cover will protect the ball from sharp or hard debris on the ground, like rocks and sticks, but isn't made to withstand forceful grinding between teeth or powerful bites. If you have a destructive dog that manages to get the material between their teeth, they can damage the ball. To reduce the risk of damage, make sure to inflate the ball fully until the cover is pulled tight.

Supervision is strongly recommended at all times for more destructively-inclined dogs.

At this time, we do not stock or sell extra components for the ball. If your original ball is damaged or wears out, you will need to purchase a complete new one.

Yes, as long as the ball can inflate to fit the diameter of the cover. That means you would need a ball that can reach 22" for the medium size, and 30" for the XL size.

We recommend using a powered air compressor for quickest results. A good foot pump can also work. We include a basic handpump with the purchase of this item, but it will require a lot of time and effort to get the ball fully inflated using this.

No, this item is not meant to be chew proof and as such is not covered against dog-related damage. It is only covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which refers to defects like faulty zippers and seams. Please note that a dog chewing open a zipper or seam does not count as a manufacturing defect.

Removing the cover can be a cumbersome process, so we recommend wiping the ball down with a damp towel after each play session to keep it clean. If you do need to do a deeper clean, deflate the ball, remove the cover, and machine wash the cover in cold water on a delicate cycle. Air drying is recommended, but the cover can be machine dried on the lowest heat setting as well. Make sure to close all zippers before washing and drying.

These are optional plastic plugs that can be used to keep the air in the ball after inflating it. Please note that the plug should only be inserted if you notice a loss of air—inserting the plug will keep the air in, but it will damage the needle valve and will make reinflating the ball much harder, should you ever need to deflate it.

In most cases, the needle valve will not allow air to escape the ball, and thus the plug is typically not necessary.

It's important to note that these balls are made to stretch as they inflate, which means that as you blow the ball up, there will be a point at which the ball looks fully inflated because it has enough air to round it out. However, this is not the point at which you'll stop pumping in air—this is simply when the ball will start stretching to grow bigger. Inflation may slow down a bit here, but it is very important to keep going.

These balls are made to expand to fill the cover, and there is no danger of the ball bursting as you pump it to fill those dimensions. Even if the ball seems fully inflated, you'll want to keep going until it fills the cover tightly. If you're having trouble getting more air in, you may want to switch over to a stronger pump.
