Aluminum Construction

The legs of our Chew Proof Armored beds are made from the same aluminum as the rest of the bed. They will not rust when exposed to water or the elements, and work just as well indoors or outside.

Each leg has a rubber foot cap on one end and a threaded hole on the other. To install, insert the leg into the corner of your bed frame and twist until tight. No additional tools or hardware is needed.

Leg sets are available in three different sizes:

S/M (3.5" long)
L/XL (5" long)
XXL (7" long)

Our elevated beds have a default leg length depending on size, but the legs are interchangeable regardless of bed size*. If you'd like the bed to be lower to the ground, you can purchase one of these sets of legs in a smaller size.

*If you have an XXL bed and a very heavy dog, the smallest leg length (3.5") may not provide sufficient clearance to keep your dog from touching the floor.

Made to Fit

K9 Ballistics Armored Bed Frames

Regardless of their length, all legs are 1" in diameter and will fit any of our Chew Proof Armored elevated dog bed frames. This includes our old rounded, style frames, as well as both the square style frame and the square-style frame in updated dimensions.

You can also purchase a set of these legs to convert a Chew Proof Armored™ Dog Crate Pad into a Chew Proof Armored™ Padded Elevated Dog Crate Bed. Simply pop the rubber plugs out of the corners to expose the leg sockets and insert the legs to elevate the bed.

The legs and frames for our armored beds are made completely from aluminum, including the powder-coated corners. Aluminum is fully and infinitely recyclable and one of the only materials that takes less energy to recycle than it does to produce new material.

Frequently Asked Questions

These legs will work with any K9 Ballistics armored-style bed. They are unlikely to work with elevated beds from other brands.

This listing is for a set of replacement legs for one bed, which means you will receive four individual legs wrapped in plastic.

The leg itself is made from aluminum, and the foot cap on the end is made from rubber.

The default leg size for our armored beds is as follows:

Small and medium beds use 3.5"
Large and XL beds use 5"
XXL beds use 7"

With that said, you can fit any size leg on any armored bed. Please just note that big, heavy dogs on XXL-sized beds will sink down low, so the 3.5" legs may not provide enough clearance to keep them from touching the floor. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend going no shorter than 5" if you have a dog over 100 lbs using an XXL bed.

No tools are necessary to install the legs, so no tools are sent with this set.

Installation is super easy! The legs use the same screw that holds the bed corners shut, so all you need to do is stick the threaded end of the leg into the socket and then twist by hand until tight.

If using on a Chew Proof Armored Crate Pad, you will need to first pop the rubber corner plugs out to expose the sockets for each leg.
