This is not a chew proof item. The ripstop ballistic fabric is durable and will hold up to wear and tear as well as digging and scratching, but the flexible and relatively thin design makes it easy for a chewer to get it between their jaws and work at it until they do damage. The straps and buckles can also be vulnerable to heavy chewing.

Do not leave destructive chewers unsupervised with this cover.

This cover is a single unit, and will arrive folded up in a small box or shipping bag. No assembly is required upon arrival; just unfold and buckle the straps around the seat headrests to get it installed.

The cover is made from 1200D ripstop ballistic polyester fabric, and the mesh front panel is made from polyester as well. There is a textured rubber coating on the underside of the cover to prevent it from sliding. The buckles and anchors are both made from plastic.

Our ballistic material has a DWR treatment on top and a waterproof PU backing applied to the back surface. These additions will help keep water from soaking through the cover, but seams can be a point of entry for fluid. It's also important to remember that this cover also has a front panel made of mesh, which will allow water to flow through it if any liquid ends up on it. For those reasons we consider these covers water-resistant instead of fully waterproof, but for most car rides these covers will keep water spills contained until you can wipe them up at home.

Please note that bodily fluids like urine and vomit are more caustic and can seep past the DWR treatment and PU backing if not wiped up quickly. If your dog has an accident on this cover, we recommend wiping it up with a towel and a bit of soapy water as soon as you get home to avoid any chance of the accident penetrating past the material.

Simply remove the cover from the car and shake it off outside to dislodge fur and dirt. You can also vacuum the cover or wipe it down with a damp cloth. For a more thorough cleaning, hang it over a railing and hose it down, then let it air dry.

The cover can also be machine washed cold water on a delicate cycle. Close all buckles before loading into the machine. Air dry if possible, or tumble dry on low heat. Avoid frequent machine washes, as this can weaken the water resistance of the cover.

Yes, the headrest straps were specifically designed for use with adjustable headrests. We cannot guarantee compatibility with any other kinds of headrests.

Yes, there are two openings that allow you to use the rear seat belts even when the cover is in place. These openings can be sealed by hook and loop fastener strips when not in use.

The best thing to do is measure the length of your back seat from one door to the other and compare that to the cover's listed dimensions. Both sizes are the same length front to back and vary only in their width from side to side.

Yes, you can! This cover can be personalized with embroidery lettering. To add it, just select the option to add personalization, select the thread color and font, and type in what you want to have embroidered. Embroidery appears centered along the back of the seat cover, in the space between the headrest straps.
