This bed will arrive as a pre-assembled frame and a set of four legs. Simply insert the legs into each corner socket and twist by hand until tight and the bed is ready for use.

The frame and legs are made from 100% aluminum, including the corners (which are simply powder-coated black). The vinyl bed sling is made from PVC. Each leg has a rubber foot cap to keep the bed from sliding.

The Chew Proof Armored™ Vinyl Elevated Dog Bed is the only one of our beds to use vinyl as the bed sling material. The vinyl also happens to be stronger than even our ripstop ballistic fabric, which means this is the absolute strongest bed that we make. The vinyl is the only material that is considered both chew proof and dig proof, and it also makes this the only fully waterproof bed that we have. 

As per the 120 Day Chew Proof Warranty, we will replace the entire armored bed once free of charge if your dog damages it within the first 120 days of receipt. Store credit for the value of the bed will be provided instead if a replacement is not desired or available.

Yes, it is! The double-coated vinyl sling is impervious to fluids, making it fully waterproof. This is the only waterproof bed that we have, and it's also pee proof. It's the best option for incontinent dogs or those that have frequent accidents.

Simply wipe the bed down with a damp cloth or scrub away any stubborn spots with soap and warm water. You can also take it outside and hose it down or pressure wash it for a thorough cleaning. Most soaps and detergents are fine, but avoid using bleach—it can damage the frame.

Since this bed has no padding and instead cradles your dog to provide support, it needs to be raised up about three inches minimum from the ground in order to work effectively (bigger, heavier dogs will need more clearance, so larger beds stand taller). While the legs can be removed from the frame, your dog will essentially be on the floor without them and won’t find the bed very comfortable at all.

First, remove the plastic pan or tray from the bottom of the crate. Then slide the bed through the crate door at a diagonal before you add the legs. Once it’s in the crate, reach in and add a leg to each corner socket, twisting by hand until tight. Level the bed out and lower it until the feet touch the floor and it is good to go.

Yes, you can! We offer personalization through laser engraving, which allows you to print your dog's name (or a short phrase) on the frame of the bed. Personalization can be done on either the long side or short side of the bed.

To add it, just select the option to add personalization, select the font and location, and make sure to type in what you want to have personalized. Personalization will appear in all caps.

This bed is designed to fit standard wire crates but crate dimensions can vary slightly by manufacturer, so make sure to compare the actual dimensions of your crate against those for the bed size you’re interested in. The dimensions shown for our beds are exact, and due to their rigid frames these beds will not fit in spaces smaller than their size.

For use outside a crate, measure your dog from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail and use that as the minimum length the bed needs to be for your dog to lie on it comfortably. Remember that the frame takes up an inch of space from each side, so the sleeping area is 2" smaller in each dimension from the total bed size.
