Super Bed, but can’t withstand digging
This bed is so wonderful for my 70 pound, 9 mo old black lab. He runs hot, and this bed gives him excellent airflow and keeps him cool, and is super comfy and form fitting. Only problem is that within a week he dug through the mesh. Thankfully K9 Ballistics offers an incredible warranty!

Purchased XL BUT NEED THE PILLOW TO EXTEND AREA
I BOUGHT THIS FOR OUR 4 YR OLD NEWFIE WHO LOVES TO SLEEP ON THE COOL FLOOR; WE WANT TO PROTECT HIS JOINTS BUT I HAVEN’T GOTTEN HIM TO SLEEP ON IT. ANY TIPS??? I HAVE GOT HIM ON THE BED FOR A MINUTE AND EVEN TO LAY DOWN A SECOND FOR A TREAT BUT HE DOESN'T STAY.

Thanks for your review, Jeanne! In regards to getting him used to the bed, we recommend treating it the same as you would train a dog the "Place" command. If you're not familiar with that one, there are plenty of online tutorials and videos you can check out—the main thing is to slowly extend the amount of time you have your dog spend on the bed. The longer he's trained to stay on it, the more used to it and comfortable he'll become, until he's choosing that place to go all on his own.

Another thing you can try doing is setting the bed up in a common area where the TV (or other entertainment source) is, encourage him to lay on the bed, and then sit down right next to him and watch or play something on the TV for awhile. Pet him and give him positive attention while he stays with you on his bed; this will give him lots of positive associations with the bed and help him learn that it is a good place for him to rest and relax.

Sturdy
The last bed had plastic legs one of which broke and the bed then damaged the drywall with our dog being overweight. I should have gotten a K9 bed the first time. Took the dog a couple of days to adjust to the new bed, but now he doesn't hesitate to lay down in it.

BEST DOG BED/COT
