Tightly-woven (600D) ballistic fabric is much more durable than the usual flimsy liners that ordinary dog bed mattresses use. It's even stronger than most covers! This liner will resist wear and tear and heavy use with ease, and won't fall apart at the seams.

Please note that an exterior Tough cover is still needed for this item to be considered chew- and scratch-resistant.

Our pillow fills are stuffed with 100% finely-shredded foam manufactured in the USA. This foam has been third-party tested and CertiPUR-US certified to have been made without formaldehyde, ozone depleters, heavy metals like mercury or lead, PBDEs, CFCs, and other harmful chemicals like phthalates and carcinogenic flame retardants. It’s also certified to be low VOC on emissions, meaning better indoor air quality for you and your pup.

The Tough Ripstop™ Rectangle Bolster Pillow Fill is compatible with our Tough Ripstop™ Rectangle Bolster Dog Bed Covers only, sold separately. It can be used with both the orthopedic and pillow mattress bases. It cannot be used with the Oval Bolster or Giant 7" Rectangle Bolster beds.

This listing is for the bolster pillow fill only and does not include the outer Tough cover or rectangle bed mattress. It is meant to replace the bolster pillow of an existing bed and should not be used on its own without a cover.

This is not a chew proof item. The ripstop ballistic liner is durable and will hold up to wear and tear, but it is not as strong as our Tough covers and is not scratch- or chew-resistant without one.

This listing is for a bolster pillow fill only, and will arrive as a long, tube-shaped pillow that has been compressed and rolled for shipping. It must be unrolled and allowed to expand upon arrival before it can be used. We recommend shaking the pillow out when you first unroll it to help redistribute the fill and fluff it up faster.

The pillow liner is made from 600D ripstop ballistic polyester fabric. There is a PU waterproof backing applied to the inner surface of the gray sides. The inside the liner is filled with CertiPUR-US shredded polyurethane foam.

We recommend spot-cleaning when possible, as the liner cannot be easily separated from the shredded foam. If necessary, this pillow can be machine washed, but larger sizes may need to be taken to a laundromat due to the weight of the foam when wet. Wash in cold water on delicate, then machine dry low heat until fully dried. It will likely take multiple drying cycles, since the foam can hold a lot of water. To avoid the risk of mildew, do not put the pillow in the cover until it has fully dried out inside.

Yes, but you'll also need to purchase a Tough Ripstop™ Rectangle Bolster Dog Bed Cover and use it with your existing rectangle mattress to make a bolster bed. Since the normal rectangle cover does not have a bolster compartment, you will not be able to put this bolster pillow anywhere in it.
