Pillow Dog Beds

Pillow-style dog beds offer dense but flexible support, making them a softer alternative to our solid-foam orthopedic beds. The mattresses are filled with USA-made shredded foam which will shift and squish down to accommodate your dog’s weight. Sewn-in channels in the mattress keep the loose fill from clumping up or flattening out in any areas, ensuring even comfort throughout the bed. This type of bed is perfect for any smaller, lighter breeds that don’t weigh enough to make an impression on solid orthopedic foam, as well as any dogs that prefer to nestle down into their bedding. Since the shredded fill is also more forgiving and flexible, pillow beds also tend to hold up better against heavy digging behaviors in the long term.

Crate Pad

Though not a true pillow bed—the Tough Ripstop Dog Crate Pad is filled with polyester fiberfill, rather than shredded foam—this crate pad offers pillow-like support. It’s our most basic bed model, consisting of a ripstop ballistic shell stitched shut around a flexible fiberfill core. It’s a popular option for anyone looking for a simple crate bed that’s easy to wash and will hold up against scratching, digging, and light, occasional chewing. 

Rectangle

Our Tough Ripstop Rectangle Pillow Dog Bed offers dogs 5” of cushy support. It can be used indoors as well as outside, and is a great option for dogs that love to stretch or sprawl out while sleeping. It has a hidden zipper closure on the underside and holds up well against both scratching and mild chewing. 

Round

Our Tough Ripstop Round Pillow Dog Bed provides all the same comfort as a rectangle bed, but the rounded shape eliminates a major chewing target—corners. While no Tough Ripstop bed is fully chew proof or recommended for a heavy, dedicated chewer, this particular bed is our strongest non-armored option for a more destructively inclined pup. In addition to eliminating a major vulnerability, the shape of the bed also makes it ideal for dogs that love to curl up while sleeping. 

Bolster

Bolster pillow beds come in multiple shapes—rectangle, round, and oval. The Tough Ripstop Rectangle Bolster Pillow Dog Bed features a rectangle-shaped mattress with a bolster pillow along the back and sides. Both the mattress and bolster are filled with shredded foam for plenty of support and cushioning. With the Tough Ripstop Oval Bolster Pillow Dog Bed and Tough Ripstop Round Bolster Pillow Dog Bed, the bottom cushion is made from shredded foam while the sewn-in bolsters are filled with densely-packed polyester fiberfill. The oval option features an open front for easy access into and out of the bed, while the round version is completely enclosed to provide more of a den effect.
