Tough Ripstop™ Dog Beds

Our Tough Ripstop Dog Beds combine comfort and durability to provide long-lasting, reliable support. The proprietary ripstop ballistic fabric covers protect the bed from everyday wear and tear, scratching, digging, and even the occasional mouthing or chewing. Mattresses come in both firm (solid foam) and soft (shredded foam) options, and sizes range from small all the way to XXL to ensure the best match for your dog. Incredibly versatile, these beds can be used both indoors and out, and we also offer a couple options sized for crate use. 

These beds were engineered with diggers, scratchers, and light-to-moderate chewers in mind. Exposed edges, corners, and zipper closures leaves them more vulnerable to dogs that chew persistently or powerfully. If you have a dog that routinely chews apart their bedding, the Chew Proof Armored series of dog beds will be a much better fit. 

Tough Ripstop beds are available in the following styles:

Crate

Our Tough Ripstop Dog Crate Pad and Tough Ripstop Orthopedic Dog Crate Bed. Both of these items were sized to fit standard wire crates and are both thinner and more narrow than traditional beds. The regular Tough Ripstop Dog Crate Pad is a simple item, consisting of a ripstop ballistic shell sewn shut around a 1.5” polyester fiberfill core, while the Tough Ripstop Orthopedic Dog Crate Bed is a more upgraded version, featuring a removable cover with hidden zipper and solid foam mattress core for maximum support. 

Rectangle

Our Tough Rectangle Dog Bed comes with two mattress types: Pillow (shredded foam) and Orthopedic (solid foam). This is a full-size bed that works great for any dog that prefers to stretch or sprawl out while sleeping, and can also be shared by multiple pups at once. This style of bed has a zipper closure that’s hidden behind an industrial strength strip of hook-and-loop fastener, helping to protect it against dogs that like to munch on zippers. 

Round

The Tough Ripstop Round Pillow Dog Bed comes in our softer, shredded-foam pillow style only. The rounded shape eliminates a major chewing target that all of our other Tough Ripstop beds have: corners. While no Tough Ripstop bed is fully chew proof or recommended for a heavy, dedicated chewer, this particular bed is our strongest non-armored option for a more destructively inclined pup. In addition to eliminating a major vulnerability, the shape of the bed also makes it ideal for dogs that love to curl up while sleeping. It also has a hidden zipper to help protect it from chewers. 

Bolster

Bolster pillow beds come in multiple shapes—rectangle, round, and oval. The Tough Ripstop Rectangle Bolster Dog Bed features a rectangle-shaped mattress with a bolster pillow along the back and sides. The mattress can be orthopedic solid foam or soft shredded foam, and the bolsters are filled with shredded foam for plenty of support and cushioning. With the Tough Ripstop Oval Bolster Pillow Dog Bed and Tough Ripstop Round Bolster Pillow Dog Bed, the bottom cushion is made from shredded foam while the sewn-in bolsters are filled with densely-packed polyester fiberfill. The oval option features an open front for easy access into and out of the bed, while the round version is completely enclosed to provide more of a den effect. All of these beds have exposed zippers and do best with dogs that are not big chewers.
