This is not a chew proof bed. The ripstop ballistic fabric is durable and will hold up to wear and tear as well as digging, scratching, and light chewing, but it can be damaged by aggressive or persistent chewing habits. Despite being reinforced, the exposed corners can especially be a vulnerable point for heavy chewers that tend to home in on those spots. If you have a dog that routinely tears up their bedding, please consider one of our Chew Proof Armored™ beds instead.

This bed arrives in two parts:

• Gray and yellow pillow bed mattress, rolled.
• Tough Ripstop™ ballistic rectangle bed cover, folded. Typically found at the bottom of the box.

To assemble, simply unroll the mattress and allow it to expand. Then put the cover on, seal the closures, and it is ready to go.

The bed cover is made from 1200D ripstop ballistic polyester fabric, including the black bottom. There is a textured rubber coating on the bottom of the bed cover to prevent it from sliding. The inner mattress has a 600D ripstop ballistic liner made from polyester and is filled with CertiPUR-US shredded polyurethane foam.

The 120 Day Warranty applies to the outer cover of the bed only. If your dog damages the bed in any way within the first 120 days of receipt, we will replace the cover once free of charge. Store credit for the value of the cover will be provided instead if a replacement cover is not desired.

Simply wipe the bed down with a damp cloth or scrub away any stubborn spots with soap and warm water. For a more thorough cleaning, remove the outer cover and machine wash in cold water on a delicate cycle. Make sure to zip up the cover and keep it right side out before adding it to the machine. Air dry if possible, or machine dry on low heat.

If necessary, the pillow mattress can be machine washed in cold water on a delicate cycle and must be machine dried with low heat until fully dried before putting the cover on. Do not cover a damp mattress, or else mildew and mold may develop inside it. Industrial/commercial washers and dryers will be needed for larger bed sizes. If the mattress does not have room to spare in your machine, do not attempt to wash in your machine. Instead, take it to a laundromat.

Our rectangle beds are not sized to fit crates and are not intended for crate use, but the pillow fill is squishy enough that you could possibly squeeze it through a crate door. Once inside, however, it will not be a perfect fit (these beds run much wider than crates do) and it may end up either taking up most of the available crate space or leaving a big gap between the bed and crate wall.

Yes, you can! This bed can be personalized with embroidery as long as you choose obsidian black, blue quartz, or sandstone as the bed color. Velvet color options cannot be personalized due to the velvet coating.

To add it, just select the option to add personalization, select the thread color and font, and make sure to type in what you want to have embroidered. Embroidery is case-sensitive and will appear exactly as typed.
